NOA Interceptor

The NOA Interceptor program was developed to support large volume extracts. It consists of a listening service and client configuration tool. This program is installed on a server or client machine and receives a print stream from the clinical system. Based on the user defined configuration, it then writes the file to disk on the local machine.

The configuration of the NOA interceptor allows for generation of fixed width record creation, source defined file names, time stamped file names, and custom programed solutions to parse or format data to the clients specifications.

Some of the other solutions this tool has provided include:

  • Electronic Chart Print File
  • Electronic Management Reports to Specific Manager PCs
  • Data Extracts in XML format that can be directrly read by Microsoft Excel

Unlike like other batch methods, this tool can be setup for on-demand file creation to specific PCs. This eliminates FTP and other access methods and greatly reduces IT involvement in adhoc data extraction.
