  • Rod Walker participated in a HIPAA presentation and site assessment for Southwest Mississippi Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi. This site assessment was conducted in conjunction with participants from Phelps Dunbar LLC, an international law firm specializing in HIPAA.

  • NOA consultants, Pelvia Woods and Jeanie Eckmann, traveled to the U.K. to participate with Per-Se' Technologies (former owner of Misys CPR / Misys CPOE) in demonstrating the advanced clinical and technical applications of the Patient1® (Misys CPR/ Misys CPOE™) system.

  • NOA adds new client:  The Jewish Home and Hospital Lifecare System in New York City, NY. 

May 2002 

  • NOA's Pelvia Woods and Rod Walker publish article on HIPAA in ADVANCE magazine. The article entitled, "HIPAA Privacy: Leveraging Clinical System Automation and Workflow Design" appears in a series within ADVANCE magazine starting in May 2002.  Click here to see article in its entirety.

  • NOA adds new client:  Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, Louisiana.

  • Cary Negley presented at the 18th Annual World Congress (TEPR 2002) in Seattle, WA.  His presentation related to data security and disaster recovery was entitled, "Patients and Data First:" Providing Continuity of Care During the Failure of a CPR."

  • Rod Walker presented at the annual national Medical Records Institute (TEPR) on HIPAA Compliance - An Operational Guide to Best Practices.  The conference was held in Seattle, WA.
