NOA provides staff augmentation
consulting support at Phoenix Children’s Hospital for a second
successful activation of Med/Surg units in September 2007 involving
deployment of clinical documentation |
|
September 2007
– Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH)
project team successfully implemented the second activation as part of a
four-phased project plan to implement clinical documentation using NOA’s
staff augmentation consulting support. PCH had previously engaged
NOA to provide project management and design/configuration support via
NOA’s staff-augmentation services. After a successful initial
deployment in an earlier phase of the project, PCH recently brought live
additional units to further deploy the automated clinical documentation
functionality designed within the Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager
system which includes both vital signs and I & O flow sheets. This
second phase of the activations was a big success just like the initial
phase due to dedication and product expertise existing amongst both
NOA’s staff augmentation resources as well as PCH’s project team and
super-users. NOA’s Jeanie Eckmann, MT (ASCP)
was the managing consultant resource on this project while
Pelvia Woods, RN, provided additional
product expertise for clinical documentation and Clinical Manager’s
Sunrise Knowledge-Based Charting™ integrated, interdisciplinary clinical
documentation solution.
Over the past year, NOA has worked side by
side with the PCH project team in
order to provide clinical systems consulting support to
Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The
engagement involved providing support as a member of the project team in
a staff- augmentation capacity in order to facilitate in the transfer of
knowledge and best-demonstrated-practices to the hospital’s internal
project team.
Congratulations to
Phoenix Children’s Hospital and NOA's
clinical consultants for yet another successful activation phase that
leverages NOA's best-demonstrated-practices with clinical computing
using the Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager system.
