NOA Consultants Cary Negley, Rod Walker
and Joe Barone recently completed an initial scope of
a project to support deployment plans for the Misys-CPR™ / Misys-CPOE™ (formerly Patient1®)
at
Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital (POH)
in Pontiac, Michigan. |
The scope of the initial consulting
engagement included providing specific deliverables designed to position
POH for greater success and return on investment for the planned
computerized patient record system. The deliverables sought by POH
include the following:
-
Review and define role and scope of
responsibilities of the CPR project manager for ROI success.
-
Finalize project charter through defining
a focused set of tangible goals and objectives that will contribute to
greater ROI for the CPR project at POH.
-
Review and identify project related risks
associated with work plans and knowledge transfer process in order
to recommend strategies to mitigate risks.
-
Develop a communication strategy and tool
for development of best practices to achieve greater organizational
alignment and project related ROI.
-
Educate on best demonstrated practices
relating to planning and measuring ROI for the Misys-CPR™ system.
-
Educate on best demonstrated practices
relating to MPI conversion planning and hardware deployment.
As a result on POH's strategic decision to
leverage NOA, the project management team at POH is well on its way to
achieving the greatest return on investment possible with the Misys-CPR™
product. Upon completion of the initial project scope, NOA has
been able to add POH to the long list of satisfied customers for the
services and support offered by Negley, Ott &
Associates, Inc.
According to Dr. Steven B. Calkin, DO,
FACOI, Vice President of Medical Affairs,

"Let me take this opportunity to express what a pleasure is has
been to have NOA serve a consulting role for POH during the early
stages of our implementation of Misys-CPR™. Your team (Rod
Walker, Cary Negley and Joe Barone) has been invaluable in helping
our team (analysts and the executive steering committee)
anticipate issues that always come up during an implementation of
this magnitude, but more importantly, are offering insight that
only people with product experience can provide, giving us
confidence that all of our efforts at selecting such a robust
product will not be wasted. We selected NOA from several
companies vying for the right to serve this role because of your
extensive experience with this product. As the executive
champion for this project, I appreciate your involvement because
it has calmed the fears and anxieties of our team so much that I
can afford to pay attention to other issues." |
Congratulations to The Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital
on their successes on the CPR project initiative and for their
commitment to demonstrating quality and excellence towards community
health by using the Misys-CPR™ / Misys-CPOE™ (Patient1®)
system as an integrated electronic health record!
