Jacobi Medical Center, Bronx, NY --
July, 2004 -- NEGLEY, OTT &
ASSOCIATES, INC. (NOA) consultants, Dar Sabatino, RN, Jeanie Eckman, MT,
ASCP, Chris Carr and Rod Walker, recently completed
participation in a project to develop and deploy automated
medication administration using the Misys-CPR™/ CPOE™ system at
Jacobi Medical Center. Through
using automated medication administration with the Misys-CPR™/ CPOE™
system Jacobi Medical Center sought to improve the quality of care
through decreased risks involving medication administration. The
lead NOA consultant on this project was Dar Sabatino, RN, who worked
closely with members of the Jacobi clinical analyst team in support of
this initiative. The project was a huge success and further
demonstrated Jacobi’s leadership position at leveraging information
technology for enhancing the delivery of care.
Jacobi Medical
Center is part of the NORTH BRONX
HEALTHCARE NETWORK, and is one of the multiple facilities of
the New York City Health and Hospitals
Corporation (NYCHHC).
This go-live event is another significant accomplishment for the
NORTH BRONX HEALTHCARE NETWORK and
represents continued achievement towards improvement in community
health.
Congratulations to
Jacobi Medical Center and
NOA's clinical consulting team for a
successful deployment. This deployment is another example of how NYCHHC
continues to demonstrate quality and excellence in meeting community
healthcare needs by using the Misys CPR™ / Misys CPOE™ (Patient1®)
system as an integrated electronic health record.
