October 2004: The Jewish Home and Hospital Lifecare
System (JHH), New York City, NY --
JHH continues to
demonstrates significant strides and innovation for achieving greater ROI of their EHR system by leveraging it in a customized manner with
their senior resident living facility (Kittay House). The Kittay
House is a division of the Bronx facility at JHH.
In September 2004, NOA was engaged to
provide customized development of the Misys-CPR™ / Misys-CPOE™
(formerly: Patient1®) system in order to leverage the organic
functionality of that system in order to provide for functionality
required at JHH to manage operations of their Kittay House, a senior
resident living apartment facility. By combining the strengths of
the organic tool set within Misys-CPR™ along with NOA’s
best-demonstrated-practices, JHH was able to achieve the desired
functionality by using an existing software investment in order to
maximize ROI.
The scope of the customized functionality
developed thus far by NOA includes the following:
-
Logging of inquiries regarding available
housing applicants
-
Prospective resident application tracking
-
Registration and visit creation of
residents
-
(ADT) transfer processing to handle
apartment / room changes
-
LOA functionality for visits to the
hospital, sub-acute unit or home visits
-
Dietary and equipment documentation
-
Clinical base line assessments and
medication history
The project management support has been
provided by NOA consultants (Brenda Rollins, Jeanie Eckmann, MT (ASCP)
and Cary Negley). The progress thus far since the project began in
September 2004 represents a significant accomplishment by
The Jewish Home and Hospital Lifecare System.
Congratulations to
The Jewish Home and Hospital Lifecare System
for continuing to demonstrate quality and excellence towards community
health by using the Misys CPR™ / Misys CPOE™ (Patient1®)
system as an integrated electronic health record.
